Mission statement
Our mission is to provide quality training in firefighting tactics and emergency medical training to fire departments in Ecuador and South America. Our goal is to provide Chicago Firefighters and emergency medical technicians the opportunity to experience working, teaching, and learning from their counter parts in South America through the participation in short term missions. We also act as liaisons in locating fire engines, fire trucks, ambulances, firefighting equipment, and medical supplies to be donated to areas of need throughout Ecuador.
Another goal of ours is to give back to the community we are training by raising funds for their charities, such as their local orphanages or schools for the disabled.
A cooperative relationship is established with local departments and committees on what is needed for the community. We use their local resources and personnel to create the training environment that is familiar to the community we serve. We adapt our training to fit their needs without jeopardizing the integrity of the tactics and the safety of the personnel.
Each mission requires different qualities and experiences from our dedicated team. As a result of the experience and the dedication many lives are changed. The impact of the experience on each team member is equal to the impact on the lives we have touched. We are formed into a family regardless of what language is spoken and how many miles apart we live. It is a brotherhood in true firefighter tradition.
