In 2009, while on a training mission, I was taken to an orphanage in Ecuador. The impact that we as fireman were left with by witnessing the living conditions and the food the children were eating was immense.  This life changing experience brought me to make an important decision, to help the children and make a positive difference in their lives.  I began to organize fundraisers in order to ship containers with supplies and buy the essentials for the children of different orphanages and special needs schools. As to be expected, any decision we make in life that involves bettering the lives of children is one that is taken to heart.
